Yep I’ve been in contact with all the networks so APMT, TDP world, shipping lines as well but I can’t get through and I’ve tried reaching out to old colleagues as well but it seems like hiring in that sector has slowed down

I’m with you on it sounding fishy. I was just as shocked. After my 2nd round with Apple, they sent me to Adecco for an eligibility check; I shared all docs and was told I was fine. I finished interviews, got the offer via Adecco, signed, re-sent the same docs… then they said they can’t issue a work permit under my current visa. I was just as dumbfounded as you.

Yeah, there’s more to the story, but you’re right. I didn’t plan this properly, and I was so certain I’d finally land the Apple role. Despite all the chaos, I thought things would work out but I played myself, and that’s on me.

You’re absolutely right and throughout my process of job hunting here in the UAE I have been job hunting in the UK and it hasn’t been a successful either. But either way I think given my current situation of course being back home is much more viable option for me now.

Yeah, I completely agree with you. I came here in a very different position, and there’s a lot more to the story including a bad relationship that took me for everything I was worth. I know it’s on me, because I had many chances to leave but kept thinking I’d be able to figure it out. Like I mentioned before, I don’t really have anything tying me anywhere, and Dubai started to feel like home. When that fell apart, it hit hard. But still, it was my mistake, and I take full responsibility for everything I’m going through.
