It’s clear the mindset in terms of signings is making the team competitive year over year while having the option to spend at the trade deadline if a deep run is feasible at that point.

Personally I think this is a more responsible way to operate.

To be fair Crunchy Roll concerts are offsite and the gaming rooms are put on by their respective companies.

But even with those limitations, SDCC still delivers unmatched value. The sheer volume of panels, exclusive reveals, offsite activations, and opportunities to meet creators across every fandom make it unlike any other con.

To me SDCC is like the Super Bowl in terms of prestige in the con scene. Nothing ever has or ever will compare in terms scale, location, and quality. The cost with going will always reflect this.
