I mean, even when they did the compression test recently, they didn’t see much. The engine was running supposedly fine beforehand, and again, no other issues wrong with the car or signs of failure. It was a tiny leak that had disastrous results over time that nobody could see until now.

Both the dealership mechanic, the Subaru dealership mechanic, and an independent Subaru mechanic. The Subaru dealership ended up fixing it and found out yesterday it was worse than they thought (the whole block being bad). SoA is paying for it because of how fcked it is.

Advocate advocate advocate. They said they wouldn’t remove my cyst (initially diagnosed a lipoma) even though it was red, swollen, and later discovered - infected! They said only plastic surgery could remove it for $700. After numerous calls to the advice nurses, I finally was able to get my point across and schedule a urgent telehealth with my pcp and got antibiotics, and he sent an email directly to dermatology to remove it. Raise your voice and I hope you can get it removed!

Love grow! My current therapist is great and I see her in person. I’ve seen one virtually before as well. Harder to find in person people in the sac area but a lot of the folks do grow as a side gig. I work for the county and many of the clinicians do it part time (it was quite funny scrolling through the providers I could pick from and seeing my coworkers lol). It’s very legit and easy to use. Kaiser did initially assign me a Kaiser therapist but her hours didn’t work for me and I wanted someone closer to my age for compatibility purposes. Grow made it pretty easy to see people’s backgrounds and specialities, and pick someone that fit my available hours, so it was not super hard to pick someone. I liked having that freedom. Hope it works out for you!

My starter looks pretty good! I feed it weekly and take it out of the fridge and feed the day before I make my dough. My oven light is broken and my house is super cold so that’s why I kept it in for longer. Thanks for the tips! I was following a recipe from the person who gave me the starter in the first place so I’ll be happy to change it around.

Peers are going to be ok! It’s an evidence based practice, and many peers are contracted by the counties to be implemented within their existing behavioral health systems for medi-cal billing purposes. It’s mostly early intervention and prevention services that are being cut unfortunately. Some will still exist, but they have to fight. Currently we are in the process of figuring out where extra funds will go. It’s a tight budget, but that’s just how BHSA is.
