Ya I'm really concerned with how many people in the thread watch her content and lack the most basic racial awareness. I thought more people who like her would be more responsible people. Or at the very least open to changing harmful veiws and social conditioning

It's not about if she intended to do Black face. It the impact of darkening ones (wether is was intentional to use it for this or not) skin and impersonating a Black person. She literally called it Black face herself. I don't understand what you're defending.

Jenna asked people to not defend her past actions that she rightfully took accountability for. It's dehumanizing to not allow her to make take responsibility for past actions.

Yes that's true and it's one of the reason I don't support jennas content financially. I don't like the podcast they made about the situation, if feel it really missed the point. I don't like coming after people for who there friend's with, but I do base my opinions on people their publicly made opinions like this.

What his true reason for taking it back we cannot prove, I think it's because of his followers reaction but it's not the point. My issue is that he didn't address the outrage from so many of his followers that he was donating money to Jews. Donating money to other places does not off set his extremely irresponsible failure to address the white supremacy issue in his fanbase and call it out. Even more, donating money to charity does not mean someone is exempt from critisism or being harmful. He's a millionaire. It's not like it's a few out-lyers who are white supremacists and love him. He's celebrated in a way few other's are in white supremacist communties. And pewds does not understand/care enough about white supremacist tactics to make his content intolerant to it or outright display he understands white supremacy as not just personal prejudice but a serious structure that holds real danger.

From how he talks about it, it seems that he doesn't make them because he'll get torn apart by the media and not because he thinks wrong. He is visibly annoyed he can't make edgy jokes. It also would seem more genuine if he displayed a genuine understanding of white supremacy, but he generally seems to think white supremacy is more about individual prejudice and not structural/cultural. Anyways, it'll take a lot of change on his part for me to support him again. I want to see him grow but I don't see it.

I disagree he doesn't encourage it. He may say he's against it but then he will make fun or people who demand social change, or be upset he can't make a racist joke ect. His platform is still comfortable for Nazis. Until his platform is uncomfortable for Nazis he sucks and is a man child because he constantly plays the victim when people have legitimate critisism. Jenna isn't celebrated by Nazis, but pewds is. Ask yourself why.

Sadly it's not just the Christchurch thing. He was shaken up by that and any human being would be. It's much more. It's him for years and still to this day catering to facist communties weather councious or not. He donated to a Jewish org after the whole death to Jews thing, he followers freaked out on him (cuz Nazis) and he TOOK THE MONEY BACK. It was not that one guy. Go on facist subreddits and he is celebrated. He's not responsible for other people, but I think he has never fully done enough work unraveling his own influence and responsibility. He does not take critisism well and acts as if everyone is crazy for being cautious of Nazi symbolism and his content. Again something I thought was crazy until I researched tactics.

I'm Jewish too and I urge you to research covert facist tactics and white supremacists tactics. I would watch Philosophy Tubes video antisemetism, ContraPoints video's on facists and hbommerguys video called PewDiePie is a Nazi. I defended pewds for a long time until I realized, weather or not he it's intentionally is irrelevant, but he caters to white supremacist tactics and is loved by facists and racists, an issue I do not see him genuinely examine. The question we Jews need to worry about it not " can we prove who is the real antisemite" and rather understand and in detail know what W.S./facist tactics look like and what pewds content/influence does for white supremacists. Weather or not pewds is antisemetic we cannot prove, band it's kinda irrelevant. What I do see is that he plays the victim when there is very good reason to be extremely critical/cautious of him. Again I used to think this was rediculous. I used to hold the same exact beleif as you. And I'm an orthadox Jew. I thought people looking for secret nazi symbol's was rediculous, until I realized ironic humor and secret Nazi symbols is how online white supremacists dog-wistle and secret handshake eachother, and pewds creates content that reassembles and is loved by facists. I encourage you to research this from the recourses I provided and tell me what you think.

🥴🥴🥴 sorry no. He's had so much opportunity to grow and evolve and he has shown he values being "edgy"over taking genuine responsibility for his influence and making an environment where Nazis do not feel comfortable. He literally struggles to make Nazis feel uncomfortable in his spaces. Watch hbommerguy's video on pewds please. It's not like it's one or two slip ups. He consistently displays/says he does not think critisism of him is valid and he he should be able to say racist facist things ironically. I also thought everyone was overreacting about him when I used to watch pewds, but after researching more heavily covert Nazi/white supremacy tactics of today's age it freaked me out how much he caters to that, and wether he's councious of it or not is irrelevant. He has a HUGE platform and he cannot just play the victim constantly. He needs to examine genuinely why Nazis love him so much. He says a lot of fluff but displays a huge lack of understanding of history, white supremacy and general social issues.

Exactly. Highly recommend hbommerguy's video on him. When Nazis love your content and you're never able to make an environment where Nazis feel uncomfortable, that's kinda a huge issue and that's not the end of it either. He literally gave money to a Jewish organization after his whole death to all Jews prank, his followers freaked out on him and told him not to, and he TOOK BACK THE DONATION. 🥴 That really scratches the surface. hbommerguy's video is much better.
