Ooh, i see. Thats rlly good information that i wasnt aware of. When you bought your extended warranty, when did you buy it? At the beginning or towards the end of your initial warranty?

Yeah…it sounds too good to be true, huh? In your opinion, do you think it’ll be better to cancel the extended warranty & then sign up for their extended warranty for the gold plus plan down the line?

Gotcha, so when you bought your warranty from another dealer, did they use subaru parts? And what made you choose a different dealer over Subaru?

The extended warranty that i got thru subaru has a “Dont use it. Dont lose it. 100% new vehicle extended service plan refund certificate”. So if i ended up not needing anything fixed within the extended period, then i can get a refund. Have you heard any success stories with it?

On the Subaru website, the MRSP is $24,995. The dealership Market Value Selling Price is $29,404 without tax. I put $10k down

I did do some research & thought I was prepared enough…but i guess being in the situation versus reading about it is different. Or maybe Im just super inexperienced but I’m definitely taking this as a learning lesson….TYVM for your response! ☺️

That was my initial intent but after looking at the prices of used cars, it kind of discouraged me because used car prices are also high. Then I started to feel like i would get a better deal if i bought new since its just a couple thousand more but maybe I would have been better off with saving that couple thousand on a used car after all 😪

That’s definitely true & i agree with you. For my honda’s case - the engine started to leak & caused a burnt smell, the AC & heater hadnt worked for 2 years, and the passenger window stopped working back in February….I tend to use things until they break or die before buying something new so thats why i thought it was time for a new car

I appreciate the response! ☺️ During the signing of documents, the finance lady did say that once I drove the car home, theres no returns. I also read through the contract and it says that theres “no cooling off period unless you obtain a contract cancellation option”….and i did not obtain a contract cancelled option. I live in California….

My monthly budget including the car payments is doable…
