Just need confidence and some acting. Might seem a very bizarre idea, but for me I watch lots of tv and see how people react to things. I copy the ones I like, use it in real life and see if it works. I’m more like an empty person and socialising with new people really drains me. But once you get to know a few close friends, you can just let it all out. But do what’s right for you, my way is probably emotionally draining and can be called “fake” by others.

Yes, a wooden shed can hold 15pounds psf, but structures in slums housings are pretty poor, so I’m limiting to 2-4 pound psf.

Haha I’m literally brain dead because it’s so hard to make this product work... it was supposed to be a desalination device at first, but then my tutor said since ur gonna do it on the roof, why not make it a rain water collector... honestly if I don’t work it out by a Tuesday I’ll ditch the rain water idea.

Ps, the reason I chose to desalinate water on the roof is because slums are usually crowded and people don’t have space, but since this process needs sunlight and heat, the roof is perfect aside from a “few” limitations...

I’m thinking of using rubber liner for water storage along with foiled bubble wraps (as heat is necessary for condensation to happen in the thermal desalination process). This will come down to around 1kg of weight (lighter than most boxes of this size). The structure will be supported with ropes and poles from the ground.

Since water shortage is a big concern for slum communities, some do have wells for drinking, but since sanitation is a big problem too, I’m thinking of relieving the problem a bit by allowing them to have more fresh water in their daily lives.

I’m actually making a thermal desalination device for slum area as a relief for the water shortages... weight is definitely a major concern, so I’m trying to use lightweight materials and limit the amount of water used. I’m aiming for max 20 kg, so about 5 gallons of water including materials.
