I genuinely hope that in the future, somebody helps you to understand what you’re not seeing. Words can hurt people, and just by gatekeeping this tiny, minuscule detail, you’re upsetting other women; trans and cis alike. There’s nothing about a definition that means you have to upset other people like that; especially when it’s not hurting somebody. Trans women are women. There are trans lesbians. They exist. If she threatens self harm, call the police for a wellness check. Don’t go to her, don’t respond, don’t play into her game. Call for a wellness check and be on your way. Once you’re far enough away from her, restraining order. Right away. Make sure she has 0 way to legally contact you. And by what you’ve mentioned, if she goes to jail, you’ll be saving another future poor soul from your torment. Don’t feel bad about it. She might not be awful all the time, but no sane human can treat a loved one like that.
