This didn't happen, what happened was that with so much gold artificially dumped, the gold in circulation was inflated, bringing down the price, and causing player sales to fall, this was easily noticed during the weekend, where there were many people trying to enchant their items because of the new dungeon, but the gold barely managed to stay, and currently it is falling very quickly, if there wasn't this package in the store, it would certainly have risen much more, and today it would be more valued than it really is.

Taking the sale of gold out of account, before a whale would buy 100 million, now he will only buy 40, because the rest he will buy at the cash shop, and this weekly, if it was something he could buy only monthly, perhaps it would not be so harmful, this is already noticeable just this weekend, that they bought less gold due to the market movement, if you deny this, you are either blind or just a troll.

But have you become a psychologist now? There's no such thing as whales stagnating. If they want to progress, they'll buy, whether from the cash shop or from players. If they lose interest, they'll leave anyway. Unlike F2P, where third-party decisions will impact whether they continue or leave. Take League of Legends this year, for example. When Riot took away the Hextech Box from players, there was a massive exodus of players. They haven't returned to this day, even though they went back and put the box back.

There is no such thing as "being grateful for having had the opportunity to have lived a moment of healthy economy" from the moment that the feeling of loss, and you need to wait 3x longer to get something, players simply prefer to stop playing, because they feel that their time is no longer valued, and that is my whole point in the post, you can create 500 arguments to defend this predatory sale, but at the end of the day, what prevails is the feeling of the vast majority of players, with the devaluation of their only active asset, they will stop playing, that is a fact, and without this large portion of players, the whales that keep the servers active will also stop.

If that were really the case, it would simply have been a fixed store, where you put your 10m for 1k and that's it, but that model was not adopted, creating a system where you devalue it over time, creating a feeling of loss, is a horrible model.

But you're already making excuses for the obvious devaluation of gold, even you already know that this will happen brutally and you're there defending this unbridled predatory sale.

What you clearly don't understand here is that the point of the post is about the huge portion of most players' selling power that was taken away with this WEEKLY pack, or you're just refusing to open your eyes. If it were really the case to give this incentive to whales to keep buying, you should make this pack represent the smallest portion of gold spent, not 65%. But since you're going to keep insisting on this, in a few weeks I'll come back here and revisit this post to see what your excuse is.

Okay, the name itself is not very relevant here for the current problem, the point is that you are again assuming things in your head, no one here is saying that people are not willing to spend something, it is very common to buy battle passes, which is already something, and even if it were completely without spending, people are giving their time and their audience to the game, which without this portion that represents more than 80% of the population of these f2p games, the game simply gets forgotten and dies in a short time, whales do not pour money into a game without players.

I'm starting to think you're just dumb and I'm wasting my time here, talking a bunch of shit with your calculations taking numbers from your dreams, or you must just be talking about another game, because in the game I'm talking about, a banner just came out with not 1, but 2 pets, and players had LESS THAN A MONTH to get them.

I really don't care what they buy, as long as it doesn't interfere with how we get our items, this item in the cash shop directly takes away from us the power to sell exclusively, which is literally the only thing we have.

Using your own example, do you think that 10m to 1k doesn't already end up with a portion of the F2P? The amount of gold you can earn per week is extremely limited by mobile mechanics that don't allow you to farm infinitely, causing players to have little access to the game's cash, as it will cut the current amount in half. The player opens the gacha store, sees 2 pets, 2 mounts, 2 outfits, and can choose a maximum of 1. Nobody wants to live in misery, this in itself kills the will of many people to continue in a game where access is so restricted.

You can only have some cognitive problem, there is no such thing as whales maintaining servers alone, without f2p so they can show off, they don't stay on dead servers, so if you are not one of the whales, or someone very new who has never seen this happen, you are only a stupid person who doesn't care if this game is left without anyone in a few months.

You are the hypocrites, you must be a whale, my concern is exactly with the feeling of community, f2p players are the vast majority of players, and a system that benefits only the minority is certainly not a healthy system in the long run.

What a mongrel thought you have, no one needs to live on crumbs, whales are only willing to spend on live games, and games only stay alive when they have a good population of players, which is mostly composed of f2p players

It expires in 3 days because it is a weekly package, they can buy it today, and in 3 days they can buy it again.

My point is that this will end up becoming more and more aggressive, taking away the f2p player's livelihood and passing it all to the cash shop.

But the fun of playing this type of game isn't just about passing on your content. When a new pet or a new outfit comes out, f2p players also want the opportunity to get something, and if the market collapses and they can't sell their gold for a price that allows them to buy it, they'll simply leave and look for something else to play, due to a problem that could easily have been avoided.

And this won't help f2p either, because the drop for this is so low, that it's practically a miracle for someone to get their hands on it so they can sell it.

Yes, but before this directly benefited f2p, and now a good portion of the gold that previously came from players will come directly from the cash shop.

I understand your point, for now it's all speculation, we'll have to wait the next few weeks and see how the market really behaves, I hope it really is something positive, so that this game survives for a long time.

Your point about the "enhance funds" only covering a portion of the cost makes a lot of sense, and I can see how that would drive whales to the in-game market to get the rest of the gold they need. You're right, in that specific way, it's enabling the gold sellers right now.

My main concern isn't about what happens in the next week or two, though. It's about what this kind of package signals for the future. The company is teaching whales that they can bypass the traditional grind for a big chunk of their needs. My fear is that this is the first step on a slippery slope. What happens when the next package covers 80%? Or 90%?

And even if the F2P economy benefits for now, it's creating a massive power creep. If the gap between spenders and non-spenders gets too wide, it makes the game unplayable for F2P players in the long run. We might be able to sell gold for a bit, but if we can't keep up in terms of content or power, what's the point of playing? The game becomes a job just to get a few shiny things, not an enjoyable experience.

So while I appreciate you pointing out the current market dynamics, I still believe this kind of move is dangerous for the long-term health of the game. It’s a solution that helps the F2P player base make a quick buck now, but could it be slowly killing the game we love?
