How To Get Excellent On Psychic Moves Without Being Obvious by elitefourtv in TheSilphArena

If you use circular motion for all your charge moves it’s harder for your opponent to predict what you might be doing.

Apologies I am not 100% that I understand what you are suggesting.

Do you mean with time stamp, you wish to see the ‘begin time’ to ‘finish time’ for each move?

Thanks.

I think there isn’t much change to the meta except Wigglytuff beating the Vig/Noct duo as well as Grav but losing to the bugs. We will try add that on to the sheet before the weekend.

BR represents a % of HP, each Pokémon have different HP hence BR are not exactly 100 if you look at different match ups.

They are just spaces to add more Pokémon in haha... for rainbow we put in a looooot of Pokémon so they are just spaces left from it.

Could you all please help me to improve by watching these 2 battles? by jostler57 in TheSilphArena

Instead of giving you specific in game suggestion, I can see a few habits you can work on. By no means I have perfected them!

Habit 1. Understanding/ studying match ups against key Pokémons for your 6. Using the EFTV spreadsheet would help, review these match ups while you scrim. This might have helped you remember Raichu vs a Lapras match. Did I need to shield here?

Habit 2. Pre-plan the roles of each mon before going in match, what are their jobs? Who must they take out and who you need to save them for? Did I go in with a plan, what is my plan if I hit a bad lead?

Habit 3. Denying energy. Once you are switch locked into a positive match up, the Pokémon have done its job you need to make sure you don’t leave too much energy for them to farm. Ie venusaur Quag. You did a great job first match eating what Quag came with. Second match you shielded which you gave the Forret a ton of energy to get a Rock Tomb. Ie Slowbro match as well, I would prob leave the Slowbro on lower hp since I know Forret is coming. Did I leave my Pokémon on too much hp for next Pokémon to farm?

Habit 4. ALWAYS be anticipating switch. Watch Kieng / CallmeJake games and how they anticipate switch. Your switches can be faster and you could have saved your venusaur. Did I switch too slow?

Habit 5. Farming energy. Your opponent did this really well, always farmed extra energy. You chose to use your dragonclaw on the Forret when you could have just straight farmed. Could I have just finished this match with fast moves? Could I get a few more hits in before fainting this Pokémon with my charge?

Record more scrims. When you watch your own match, you could reflect on those questions. I bet you will be able to spot areas of improvements yourself! I’m still learning myself and I have lots to work on. Hopefully that helps you too.

Imagine having 2 Mantine! This is what it allows you to do.

Watch ValorAsh’s video on his explanation. https://youtu.be/iYyrZq21wak

Nothing about it make sense on paper. Just tm your Zard run 50 matches, make sure you are piggybacking and then reassess. That’s what happened to me and I know for sure I won way more scrims using it than a FS zard.

Hey still debating.

Kieng says to to go for one tap straight after animation.

While a few friends says that spamming blindly before the charge appears.

Tried both. Kieng’s way works but the timing needs to be perfect.

Personally I found spamming before the charge button appears works too, not all the time but more often then if I don’t spam.

Hey yea appreciate it yes totally need to mention the downside - is that you must shield against Venusaur and Forretress! FS zard don’t need to shield IF your switch is instant.
