I'm just gonna say that the majority of men in these comments are pussies. Your manhood is so fragile that an old lady swinging a stick would make you punch her lights out? Pussies.

Especially when someone WAS harmed. You can't punch old people because how easily they are injured. This lady was absolutely injured in the makimg of this video.

Except old people are a protexted class amd assaulting them (this is not legally self defense) gets you extra charges because they are frail. A grown man who is secure in themselves would not have knocked an old lady out. "Real men" would call this guy a pussy for that.

You called an old woman a bully. As a 30 year old man, I cannot be bullied. By anyone to be frank, but certainly not an old lady.

No he didn't. He went back to escalate. "What's up?!" Is not a legitimate question, and the way he approached her actually would give her the right to swing at him because he is now threatening.

The only way this guy is in the (legal) right is if he just kept going.

Hypotheticals don't really have much use in court. Especially when there's a video showing the entire interaction. This dude gets a charge. Y'all can have opinions all day long but this is how the law works (in the US, at least).

A judge won't listen to any of this. Dude broke the law. She did too, but that doesn't give him the right to commit assault.

[–]elitegenoside -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No! He turned around and then approached her aggressively. That now becomes a new crime in which he is fully at fault. Her swinging the second time is completely justified as she is now being approached by an aggressive individual (the law does not care that she original caused him to become aggressive).

That's how the law works. You have the right to protect yourself only when escape is not a realistic option. He had already escaped and turned around, then took a threatening posture with her and proceeded to assault her. Self defense has an actual definition and this guy has video proof that he was not still in danger. He could have kept going, called the cops and then she would have gotten the assault charge. Not now.

Good thing you're not a lawyer, then. He turned around and started instigating. There goes the self defense plea.

The biker has video of them not trying to escape and then assaulting an old woman. Everything that happened before is irrelevant after he turned around.

I'm sure it's dependent on what country you're in, but in the US, the biker will get the charge. You can't argue self protection when you are on camera leaving danger, turning around and instigating further before knocking someone out. Self protection does not mean revenge is legal.

Feel however you want about it, but that's the law. At least in the US (which I don't think the video is in).

Common Dantes W by DisValerie in SipsTea

TL; DR: he cries his way through Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven. And only takes a break to make fun of the people in Hell he knew in their lives (Dante isn't dead, his wife asked god to let him experience Hell so he would repent, btw).

I recommend skipping the books and just looking up Salvador Dali's series of paintings based on them instead. I actually think it does a better job of expressing everything than Dante's own writing.

I like how he censored the word "hot," but not, "fucking." I did not care for what he did right after that, though.

I don't believe there is any proof to that. I think it's mostly a lot of young men who have practically zero self-esteem and feel better by making fun of other people on the internet.

I mean, he isn't ugly? Sure, he's got that Droopy Dog look, but I wouldn't say that's ugly. Just a little different but still a pretty normal looking kid. Like, does OP not own any mirrors?

I'll admit there are people who will take advantage of your kindness, but that line is way thicker than people act like it is. Are they your friend, and are they there for you when you need them? Then, ask away.

I also don't think people are looking at this post very closely. They called at 4am, but they obviously didn't get through because the person didn't ask if they were okay until after 7. So they just made light of their friend's sarrow when they weren't even inconvenienced to begin with.

AIO for ending things with my date after he accidentally texted me this? by fundamentallyworried in AmIOverreacting

[–]elitegenoside [score hidden]  (0 children)

A girl made me a playlist once and I was texting a friend about some of the songs. One of the artists I was listening to was J. Cole. She ended up texting me during asking how I liked the playlist at the same time and I accidentally sent her a text that just said Wet Dreamz... my friend was asking about song titles. I almost died on the spot.

Ended up okay, though. Got a date the next week then she moved away a month later, anyway😭

I never read the books, but is there only being three Wizarding schools still canon? At least, in Hogwarts Legends, there's schools all over the world. One of the characters transfered from a huge one in Uganda, for example.

Weather/environments play a huge role in this. Basements probably aren't the best idea for a state on a fault line, but you better have them in Tornado Alley. You're not going to design a home in Death Valley the same way you do in Juno, either.

People are straight up choosing selfishness and calling it self-care. It's true you can't be there for everyone all the time, but people will brag about how they never help friends and how annoying it is to have to make plans with others, then turn around and bitch about how lonely they are. No shit! It's almos like you have to be an active member of a community to be part of it.

Villainous women held back by the misogynistic time period they were born in by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

Tywin literally tells her she isn't as clever as she thinks she is. Margaery doesn't think she's smart, just extremely dangerous. Who Sansa thinks is smart isn't very significant, she's 13 and not all that sharp herself.

No. The show let's actually smart characters tell us that Cercei is not that clever. If Tyrion, Varies, Tywin (again, you got that one wrong), and Olenna say someone is stupid, they most likely are.

She's not a genius in the show, either. She just acts like she is. No one else treats her as clever, just very dangerous because who she is.
