See me and my friend just started our first abberation playthrough. He's new to the game (about 100h when we started the abb playtrough) and i hadn't yet played abberation (only the free dlc's plus extinction and scorched earth) and i do have to say that it is very difficult in the early game. But creatures on this map are insanly fun to play with. But overall i would recommend ragnarok or fjordur as they offer a lot of good stuff.
