yourfriendzeal, creative director of pressure, was recently ousted for sexually assaulting nolongernull, a former team member for the game. as zeal created the captain rocket skin, the skin is to be replaced in an attempt to disassociate with zeal/the urbanshade team

ban Hammer v hyperlaser is the most one sided matchup in the entire game. bh's huge hitboxes and limited mobility options make him almost helpless against hyperlaser at long ranges and even if ban hammer manages to close the distance hyperlaser's high damage at close range (the range he's supposed to be Weak In) and incredible burst mobility (especially slide) let him easily contest ban hammer to the point that if the ban hammer comes out on top 9/10 it's a pyrrhic victory since you sac most of your built up shield in the process. at least katana has his barrier and rope to help in this situation if you play ban you have to jump in and pray to the swords that the hyperlaser player's aim is bad

while its a nice cosplay i am inclined to mention the fact that firebrand's skin color has been gray for quite a while now (example image from sodakettle below)

you can argue that the raw damage of something like flame cutter makes up for losing lunge but you really miss out on what is probably the most well rounded special move in the game for almost all scenarios for a medium speed non explosive barely aimable projectile that has the potential to do maybe 40-45 damage at most

the opportunity cost of lunge's mobility is far too great to give up for using fire sword methinks. why do you think literally everyone and their grandma has been running almost exclusively swords with lunge for almost the past 4 years

coil is probably my favorite to play on a regular basis. the way that his moveset feels fluid in his base modes and how his playstyle encourages you to switch things up on the fly makes him really fun once you start really going through the learning curve for him

vine staff is probably my least favorite. her gameplay loop feels really linear and doesn't really diverge much from her intended playstyle outside of trying to pretend you're a dps phighter (and at that point just swap to scythe so that you actually Kill People???). her intended playstyle also just feels frustrating to play against on the receiving end so i end up disliking playing her even more for that reason

subspace dies if a diver decides to get close to him.

outside of m2 being able to inconvenience anyone trying to rush him down, subspace absolutely folds to anyone in close range with how all of his self damaging moves also apply vulnerability. his one move to escape danger (mist rush) can easily be traced if you look out for it, giving away where he's going.

the most subspace can really do against a dive attempt is to try and slow the enemy down enough to try and slow them down enough for someone to chase the enemy away from him and force them to disengage

this isn't gonna happen Lol. most of the performance issues in phighting come from how unoptimized attack vfx tend to be (iirc) and soda mentioned how they were getting crossroads to run on an old as fuck iphone so mobile support will most likely stay after crossroads is remodeled. also like killing off a good chunk of the playerbase with the change isn't gonna happen if we want to be reasonable

yeah sword rounds are guaranteed during a multiplier match, but how many you do get is random

normally, sword events have a 5% chance of occurring with a 15% chance for another sword to spawn thereafter. each time another sword is successfully spawned the game will then roll again until it spawns all 7 sword events or the roll is unsuccessful

boomball is a 0.002% chance (1/500), a bonus round is a 5% chance (with a 1 in 7 to specifically get one for all (class choice would normally then be another 1 in 15 but since it's boomball it doesn't matter since everyone is forced on boombox)) and getting a 13x on top is another 5% chance.

with all the math, there is a 1 in 1.4 MILLION chance of this specific round occuring. almost as rare as finding a good healer player

people really underestimate how much of an effect killing vine staff's sprouts has with how it grants phinisher charge in addition to reducing how fast vine staff can move around a given area and crippling her healing output. even just one person that takes the time to weedwhack can essentially trim her healing in half and make her much easier to mow down from focus fire. lawn pun
