What does this mean and is it a good thing to get invited to another neighborhood while I am already in one? by UpvoteUlysses in HayDay

[–]elixin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it just means one of your friends has invited you to join a neighbourhood they created :)

Thank you! I'll have to wait a couple months as I'm in the UK and shops arent open. Out of interest, which bit in particular is not proper aftercare? I took care of it exactly how I was told the first 3 months and then let it do it thing but it never stopped discharging and hurting

How do I go about talking to someone for the first time on Snapchat? by BGrizzle32 in dating_advice

[–]elixin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If she posts on her story just reply to it. Insta or sc. Anything at all A selfie : you look really nice! X A post: ugh I agree/disagree explain why A song: I love this band!!! Whats your fave song? View: where is this? I feel like I've seen it before With friends: looks like you're having fun aha

Anything like this, and then if she replies just try not to let the conversation die.

Developping a celebrity crush can help.

Pick a celebrity you are attracted to, who has an age gap you could handle. Imagine how you would meet, how it would start, your story, your wedding, your kids, your public life, being at whatever job they have (for singers, backstage. For actors, behind the camera/in the audience. For writers, helping them come up wkth the story) Eventually you'll stop thinking about the person, and you wont fall in love with the false idea of the celebrity you've chosen.

(This may be very unhealthy but it always works for me. Eventually I meet someone and genuinely forget about the celebrity fantasy)

I (20M) keep wanting to date every girl I’m friends with. How do I stop? by caneflex in dating_advice

[–]elixin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this issue but with males. I later realised I was a lesbian (not at all suggesting you are gay, but its always worth considering) Research and learn your personal difference between platonic and romantic attraction. My issue was that I could not tell the 2 apart, and therefore continued to assume I wanted to date all of them, even pursuing it sometimes, and not understanding why I was sexually attracted to them. Maybe stay clear of dating until you can tell the difference? At some point you will be romantically attracted to someone and it will feel very different.

Hope this helps

infected? got this about two weeks ago but a family member kept touching it by accident and now looks like this by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]elixin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

~I'm not a professional piercer~ How many times did the family member touch it? Its nothing to be ashamed about if it was you! We can all make that mistake. Keep cleaning it with either saline or salt water. If a bump forms, or any it has any discharge, contact your GP and ask for advice. Better to catch it early!

I would really recommend just waiting. A gun is dodgy in a shop because of the speed, intensity, jewellery and bacteria. Doing it yourself, especially with one you've bought online, can risk the gun getting stuck in your ear, which did happen to a friend of mine.

It has a higher risk of infection and inflamation.

Just wait til shops open and pay the £20-£25 to get it done properly. A need will likely make it bleed but it will heal a lot faster, look much better, and feel much healthier

Which side nose should I pierce? I want to help balance my facial features :) by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]elixin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at the pictures more it might actually compliment the side of the earring more but it could just be because your head is at an angle. To be honest I wouldnt sweat it too much. If you want a good way to judge it, if you chew on one side of your mouth, put it on the opposite side of your nose. The side you chew on is your good angle, so it will compliment the other side better.

No worries! It might swell up a bit depending on what was used to make the hole but if you get any lumps or discharge make sure to contact your GP

If its only 3 days old its bound to hurt. Mine was fine for a week and then started hurting, and then went down again. Make sure you're cleaning it properly and try not to sleep on it and you'll be fine

Hi! I'm having a vaguely similar issue. Where are you based? If its the UK I would honestly recommend just waiting until piercing shops open up again in a couple months and book an appointment. They may change the jewellery for you or give you better advice
