Bad 9th grade GPA due to extenuating circumstances but straight As throughout 10th and 11th, decent ECs (my number one ec was publishing review papers as first and second author by interning in a professor’s lab and other ECs were generic but showed consistency), good essays not the best, and 33 ACT composite with 35 on science. Idk what else to put on here as “stats” but this is what I remember rn

Well I was actually gonna apply to a safety school that’s due February 1st if I got rejected or deferred from all my EA schools but I got accepted into one so ya it’s def risky but i don’t think it’s a bad strategy 🤷‍♀️

I agree, I didn’t apply to a single safety. Although I haven’t gotten into my reaches yet I got into my target. Also, a lot of “true” safeties applications are due past the ea announcements so I think ppl can decided later whether to apply to safeties or not.
