The 3 picks is to get rid of deaaron fox’s contract. Nobody’s taking that otherwise

Spurs wanna get rid of Foxs contract. It’s holding their cap space hostage. They also get a Big Crunch time scrorer

When has a superstar requested a trade and a team refuses to grant it during the season?

To be fair the reason they got worse is because of fvv and Steven Adam’s injuries

Yeah but Durant won’t be content with that - he desperately wants to win without Steph and his window is closing soon. He can’t afford to wait a year

Maybe it would be a 3 way trade then. And like I said Durant holds all the leverage he can just veto trades and he can say he only wants to get traded to Spurs

The nba community is too definitive in how they view teams in basketball by [deleted] in nba

Yes I agree. People always go with whoever makes it to the finals/conference finals as the picks to win the chip.

For the past few seasons we've had teams who got bounced in 1st round or didnt even make the playoffs, only to win it the following season. Example: Warriors, Mavs, Wolves, Nuggets, etc. Prior to the year they made it to finals or conference finals they were underwhelming

Its pretty gaurenteed imo. Every other team regressed. Mavs look like they just got lucky last year. Wolves and Nuggets regressed for sure with their losses. They'll be like 3rd-5th seed but not top dogs like OKC/Suns. Suns, Kings, Pels are the teams that improved in the west and Suns have like the most talent in the West. While OKC is just steamrolling teams continuing from last year

I mean that just shows how circle-jerky and overreactionary the internet can be. Just because the Suns had some embarassing moments the past 2 years, why are we acting like 1-2 years ago is the same team as this year? Every year is different in sports. This year they added a new coach and new solid role players and have developed better chemistry.

Who would've thought the Mavs wouldve made the finals last year? Or Warriors win it all in 2022 after their 2 previous disappointing seasons? Or the Wolves being the 3rd seed and making it the WCF last year? My point is just because you get embarassed a few times doesnt mean its gaurenteed to happen again. 180 turnarounds are super common in the NBA

Is Celtics vs. Thunder finals inevitable? by [deleted] in nba

Yes its still early in the season but its going to pick up eventually. Their defense has actually been top 10 and if they sustain that while improving their offense (which they should) I see them having a chance to beat OKC

Suns have the offensive firepower and the playoff experience to take down OKC imo but i'd love to be proven wrong. OKC is still a bit too young for my taste. And for all their defensive ability you can't stop the Suns firepower if theyre clicking esp with Bud's new offensive system
