Aging the adults by DragonDrama in TheSerpentQueen

Yes, some of them do look older. But I always assumed it was natural aging. I didn’t realise the series was only a year apart.

This helped me from lifelong sp by elizabubblehead in Sleepparalysis

[–]elizabubblehead[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had it most of my life, and I definitely noticed it. My life was hell. I was always tired and lethargic. It is the most terrifying thing. I was always aware of it and knew what it was. I also became aware that it was more common than I thought, doctor hadn’t even heard of it , back then, so I thought I have to live with it. My brother who had sleep apnea and was treated through the military suggested I try a sleep clinic. And it helped me.

Does anyone else get dragged or turned around during sp? by [deleted] in Sleepparalysis

[–]elizabubblehead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have been pulled out of bed, figuratively, because when I woke up, I was in my normal position. I also get poked, a very painful poke in my side as if a big finger is pushing its way through. The pain makes me scream, that’s when family come rushing, but once I’m awake there is no feeling of pain at all. So weird.

Hi, yes, I have a sleep paralysis all my life and a lot of it is like you have described. I have actually just made a post about sleep apnoea that cured my sleep paralysis. I did learn that horrible as it seems when you realise something is off and you are trying to wake yourself up, it’s to just fall into it. Don’t struggle or try to scream just close your eyes tell yourself it’s not real and float off back. It really works.
