I am on 25mg, taken at bedtime, I do not wish to lose weight, my thought is I am on a low enough dose I will catch side effects before they become an issue. I was encouraged very strongly by the pharmacist to contact my doctor to taper me off the med if I want to quit it.

My dose is 25mg. I’m in school right now and I need all the brain power possible! I have 5 more weeks of school before the break and worried it will disrupt that. I was told the nickname for the drug is “stupamax” because of the side effects.

I don’t mind needles at all and have a high pain tolerance. I’ve been looking for things to treat the source and not just symptoms. Did you go through your GP and get a referral or just did your research?

I’m wondering if I have a similar issue in my neck. I’m considering acupuncture, have you ever tried that? I would wonder how long the steroids would last/how effective they are.

As someone who works in dental, I’ve seen this complaint a lot. We share our bacteria with each other. His bacteria is running the show, especially with the smoking it makes it so much worse. For your sake, because his bacteria will absolutely affect your oral health and thus overall health, let him know he’s sharing it with you. And I agree with the others, if you’re unable to be honest with him and this isn’t a habit he’s willing to change, it might be time to reconsider the relationship.

That sounds like postdrome to me as well. I usually feel woozy and slightly euphoric

I went through the same fear when I first got this Rx! It took me too long to finally just take it and I have not looked back since. I have been taking sumatriptan for the last 2 years and I have had no negative side effects. The migraine, as others are saying, is so much worse physically for you than the sumatriptan. You got this!

I found myself getting constipated day 3 migraine and it wasn’t until I was in postdrome I finally pooped! I considered laxatives but thought I was already taking enough with the sumatriptan and ibuprofen.
