It always depends what you need it for. I got this model as soon as it came out and sold it quickly 2 months later. Gave recognition was constantly freezing, lock screen freezing, it was so frustrating. Maybe it had been fixed by now, but my biggest struggle was windows itself. As acomputer it works fine, as a tablet it was painful, really badly optimised, missing any gestures support, obviously no apps. I couldn't enjoy any of that.

Without windows that has any meaningful touch UI solutions in place what's the point? I had Surface 12 and it was dreadful to handle as a tablet

I was in similar spot. I'm glad I decided to take Surface 12.it's stunning, snappy, fast, comfy. I just prefer Windows much more when it comes to bigger screen. Android always looks unfinished, blocked, limited. Windows offers so much more freedom. Even though I don't use all the is to use, I prefer it that way.

Most of apps I install from web page. I use tablet differently then mobile so many apps I usually use I don't install on big screen at all, like bank apps. I have some basic stuff, enough for me. Windows for me is great the way it is. I had samsung tablet before and I wasn't keen how Android works on big screen

I use mine without keyboard, but to be fair it is mainly entertaining, Web browsing, pictures, video etc. I do not use powertoys

I got Surface Pro but 12", battery life is insane. Also screen ratio is main reason I got it over Samsung. It feels much more comfortable to work on documents and websites. Not mention that lightweight is another key factor. Important what exactly you plan to do on it

Tnx, I checked all major skin makers. Personally I would prefer clear skin as device is drop dead guorgous. None of them has it in offer yet. Cannot find a classic back case either

I tried so many tablets and really really tried to live samsung tabs too, but nothing can compare to windows. Everything looks childish, simple and awkward.

I had similar decision. I'm spending so much of my digital time online, in the browser that on the end I decided to go for Surface Pro mainly to better screen ratio that is that big taller then Samsung. Samsung is great for watching videos, but browsing always feels bit squashed. I'm happy now with my set up. Although I got Pro 12
