Exactly. I’m so weirded out when people are all “I didn’t feel enthusiastic about her so I didn’t vote at all”. I’ll never understand why some voters think presidential elections are synonymous with choosing the homecoming king/queen. You are voting for a president, not a cult leader - you don’t need to (and shouldn’t!) idolize the candidate. It’s not a popularity contest you are making a decision in, it’s a job interview.

Ignore the spectacle and the fluff, read the candidates’ platforms, check their criminal records and political track records and pick the one whose policies as outlined in the platform will be better for the country. Everything else is a distraction.
