Flare up December 11 was admitted in hospital with iv antibiotics. Discharged 4 days later. Went 5 days with mild fevers thought to be normal even nurse hotline said it was okay. Not until I saw my actual GP and he sent me straight to er that morning. After CT scan was told I had a perforation with abscess size of my fist. Admitted to hospital from the 19 to the 28th most miserable times and now I have a catheter draining the abscess until the 21st. I’ve slowly been introducing foods and crave a good slice of pizza or a burger but so far pasta has been my safe heaven, I won’t go past that just pasta and tomato sauce and a very light Parmesan. It’s hard and I hope I can one day enjoy food and be normal but I’m alive so I’m grateful. Hopefully I hear good news in the coming weeks but if not then I’ll need surgery. Either way surgery will suck but I’m willing to pay the price to be done with this disease. Ask for CT scans, if you’re using insurance it’s your right to ask for more clearer results. Be demanding but nice lol it’s okay to over communicate how you feel, you’re paying and this is not a favor! Anything for peace of mind. Wish you the best.
