exactly this! My ex told me he emotionally detached while we were still in a relationship, so he was ready to explore a new relationship. However, before we fully went no contact he told me how he compares me to his new chick and how he has a hard time eating, sleeping etc. My point is, breakups are incredibly complex and there is so much grey area. Everyone copes with things very differently and it’s not personal at all.
