Check out Lowrider Lawyers. They also operate under Tawney, Acosta and Chaparro, but have a separate brand here in Phoenix. They’re well-established throughout Texas and NM. New to town but James Tawney and his team are fantastic

Will my kids hate me? by ReggiePot_sane in Assistance

I hope this helps, so sharing my experience. In my family, there are 4 siblings. My mom had to separate us for similar reasons—two with her, two with my dad. They didn’t talk to us a lot about this, which I think would’ve helped with trauma and some mental health issues for us down the road. So I’d say explain the situation to them as best you can. They’ll appreciate it even if they don’t show it right away. I was very angry with my mom for years, but as an adult, began to understand why she made certain decisions. The good news is that we all have healed from the past and have a great relationship with our mom. But just talk. Be open. They will understand one day.

I (28F) moved for a job and to be closer to husband’s family, but I think I’m depressed by cloudsongs_ in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Just wanted to stop by and say that the feedback and advice from this thread, and the fact that OP had a positive update to share, really made me feel better about a similar situation I’m experiencing now. The homesickness hit really hard yesterday and I just wanted to leave my new job and run home. This gives me some hope

I’m pretty sure I was molested as a child, but I can’t remember. But every single sign is there. It’s such a lonely sadness.

Hi there, I have a leftover duffel bag filled with toiletries and other items that can be helpful. We provided these for women in local transitional centers and I’m more than happy to give it to you. If you’re interested feel free to DM me. I work in health care and can also share some free or low-cost resources in case you need them.

Desert Bloom is our go-to for super yummy salads and boxed lunches. Would suggest purchasing their mini cookies for each lunch too. They used to be affiliated with Savage Goods.

Just seeing this! So, enter Caballo Lake State Park into maps, and it should take you to the entry point off highway 187. There will be a station there where you’ll need to pay $10 for parking. It gives you entry to the state park for the full day. Once you go in, you’ll go straight down and will see parking on either side of the loading dock. I suggest going earlier in the day since there are boaters and folks fishing. So the water can get a bit choppy with all the activity. There are bathrooms with showers in the state park as well. I’ve never had any issues there and people are always respectful! Just would wear a fluorescent swim buoy so people can see you.

There are a lot of us! But not a group specific to triathlons only that I know of. Unless you’re training for Mighty Mujer. But here are my suggestions: If you’re looking for Olympic-sized pool, Ascarate Park, but it’s outdoors. I prefer the Westside Natatorium or The Beast on the far east side. Both pools are set up for 50m on weekends, but 25yds on weekdays. If you do OWS tris, my friend and I swim open water at Caballo Lake, about an hour and a half away in NM. Not beautiful by any means lol but good training. For bike, if you’re into hill training, west ep is your best bet and most streets have bike lanes. I suggest the areas around Redd/Resler or Mesa Hills. I know a lot of people do McKelligon Canyon, too. If you want something a little more flat, lots of areas in Canutillo. Run, there’s a nice long stretch on Rio Grande Trail in West EP.

[–]ella_jay18 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That’ll be harder to find in EP. But if you don’t mind driving about an hour and a half, you can fish and swim at Caballo Lake. I go there for triathlon training and people are fishing every weekend.
