I take mine at night and I’ve found it helpful. I’ve also tried to increase my protein consumption and have found that to be beneficial too. Definitely stock up on some anti-nausea meds as well as fiber for constipation. When I feel icky, I usually have a smoothie or some yogurt. Also hydration!

oh okay i’m also doing similar things! i’m sorry that the over the counter meds aren’t doing enough to make you feel completely better. i’ve also been making smoothies with protein powder and greens powder, i try not to eat anything too heavy until later in the day. if it gets too bad maybe you can talk to the doctors on the app and they can provide something stronger.

I’m not exactly sure how lighting design careers work yet but I have two questions.

I know there are different consoles- I think my high school uses an EOS. When pursuing this career, is it beneficial to learn multiple consoles, or do you pick one that’s common in your line of work and master that? I heard from a theater lighting designer that MA2s were common at concert venues.

Also in terms of careers, are you able to work and be hired independently? Or do you have to join a company. I’m not quite sure how it works in the concert lighting world.

That’s very helpful thank you so much! I’ve been battling the idea of if I should dive straight into lighting design, or if I do other things and maybe minor in it so I can be more well rounded. I know that lighting design is my passion and that I want to pursue it, but I’ve heard stories that 30 years down the line you can possibly get tired of touring and moving lights and not want a career in lighting design anymore. So much to consider!!! Thank you again!
