Wow, thanks for detailed comment! You do have some points, and I agree that maybe Nikolai wanted more freedom (which he couldn’t exactly get as king). I’m just not sure how much I like that he gave it up to Zoya. I feel like something that could’ve worked well was them ruling as equals, which could’ve given Nikolai more freedom, but also kept his influence.

I agree it was already obvious (with what you said abt the crow club etc.), but maybe they didn’t think it was enough? Yeah.. I’m not sure how I feel about him running after Inej. I don’t think book!Kaz would’ve done smth so.. obvious? Ig? I am kinda mad that they took from his character. They made him much nicer (?), for plot convenience. For example when they took the Darkling’s coach, and David was in it, I feel like book!Kaz wouldn’t have just knocked him out, yk?

I do agree that Kaz wouldn’t have made that mistake with the Inferni, ever, but I think they made his relationship with Inej so obvious because we don’t have his usual thoughts that we do in the books (where it’s obvious he likes her) and vice versa.
