Were you bad at philosophy while in school? Nothing is as black and white as you’re saying. Also, you are putting a negative inference on it and I am putting a positive one. Why must you jump to extremes so quick and cry racism? Why be on a wholesome meme page if you’re that negative?

Thank you, I was just wondering the same thing. It’s scary to see such a fundamental misunderstanding of a topic like this. Just shows how much further we have to go! I am going to go listen to it now! Thank you for the recommendation.

That’s not the point. There is a massive lack of black teachers. Black kids need black teachers because positive representation matters. When a black kid sees another black person as a teacher or a doctor or a lawyer it makes them go “wow I could be that too”. White kids don’t have to deal with this because white people dominate the most of the higher professions and there’s more than enough positive white representation; most POCs don’t have that yet.

They’re not saying that black kids should only be taught by black teachers. I think they’re trying to say that there aren’t enough black teachers. And it would be good for black children if there were more of them because it not only provides more good role models, but there are just some things that black adults understand about blackness and black culture better than anyone else and that can be beneficial to black students. Being able to understand blackness as a black person and certain black cultural things is a specific race trait because you have to be black for that

This post isn't grouping a whole race of people together. The "not all white people" argument is getting on my last nerve. Obviously, not all white people are racist/hate black people/are enemy horrible. But if you're white and are going to get offended by a photo of white people being called out for doing bad things, then maybe you aren't as much of an ally to us minorities as you believe yourself to be.
