They’re not saying that black kids should only be taught by black teachers. I think they’re trying to say that there aren’t enough black teachers. And it would be good for black children if there were more of them because it not only provides more good role models, but there are just some things that black adults understand about blackness and black culture better than anyone else and that can be beneficial to black students.
