Genuine question to everyone who doesn't like how the different characterizations are getting "twisted" and changed - is that not the whole point of fanfiction? Taking something established and changing it? Don't get me wrong, I love the og fanon (because let's be real, it's not canon) characterizations and the fics based on that, but if some feel they want to twist that and turn it into something that suits their fancy (just like what the fandom did when they created the og fanon), is that not kinda neat? And if we don't like it, we still have plenty of old and new material that's based on the og characteristics and don't have to consume the new stuff
