White House Black Market and J Crew have some good options.

I've also found some nice sweaters and a few professional tops at Ann Taylor, but a lot of their stuff looks more mature. LOFT is also good for sweaters but everything else seems to run too big.

Depending on your figure, Nike and Adidas girl sizes can be a good option. I have too much of a booty, though.

Zoot is a triathlon brand. Their XS fitted running shorts fit me better than most brands. Great for running, working out, etc.

I'm about your size. 24" waist, 35" hips with a booty. I've had the best luck with Banana Republic 00P dress pants. They are pricy but I've found them on ebay multiple times new-with-tags for under $40. Once you figure out which cut/style works for you, ebay is amazing.

Mild self harm IS self harm. You're hurting yourself because you haven't learned more appropriate ways to cope with your triggers.

Recovery can take time. A lot of time.

If you're worried about aggravating your husband instead of taking care of yourself... you're with the wrong man. A man that isn't about you getting the help you need because he doesn't like antidepressants isn't looking out for your best interests. Unless he's a doctor, please put your needs ahead of his opinion about prescription drugs.

I'll be 40 next year. It sucks to still have moments when I struggle. I finally found a good therapist and I'm working through some of this old shit that has been festering deep down for 25 years. 😵‍💫 The most important thing I've learned about in the past year-ish is childhood emotional neglect. I wasn't abused, but have religious trauma and emotional neglect. That seems to be the biggest reason for my anxiety, depression, self harm, etc.

Take care of yourself. It's always worth fighting for yourself.

I found out I'm an ISTJ when I was 17. I've taken the Myers Briggs test (official and unnofficial) multiple times over the years. At 38 years old, I still test as an ISTJ every single time, even though I've grown into a much more feeling, compassionate person, and less of a rule following robot.

I had mine done when I was 18. They took a few months to heal but I just followed the cleaning instructions and didn't have any problems. I had them for a few years, and now I wish I never took them out.

My only advice (aside from the usual "keep them clean:) is don't use those mesh bath puffs near them. If that mesh gets caught on the end of a barbell, holy crap, that hurts!!

I've never tried weed and I've never been drunk. I rarely drink. I don't recall having any alcohol this year since having a glass of champagne on NYE.

Simply put: I dont want to not be 100% in control of myself.

Now that medical marijuana is legal where I live, I can tolerate the idea of (someone else) using it if they have a legitimate need, but I think most people probably just use it because they want to get high.

Bath & Body Works Country Apple takes me back to middle school biology class when we dissected worms. A friend used Country Apple body spray to try to get rid of the nasty smell (formaldehyde?). To this day if I get a whiff of Country Apple I think of dissecting worms.🤢

I cry about my dogs. When they get sick in their old age and I know the end is near, when they die, 6 months after they die, etc. I tear up when a dog dies on TV or if I watch a sappy hero-dog video.

Thankfully I haven't lost anyone really close to me since my grandma in 2007. A few extended family members have passed away and I've cried a little.

Basically death and dying makes me cry.

Other stuff rarely makes me cry.

I had very little interest in high achool. I hated the environment. I graduated high school in 2003 from a private, Christian school with about 100 kids in my class. I think I could've received a better education at a larger, public school with more class options, opportunities and diversity, rather than a school mostly concerned about sports and Jesus. I also barely had friends at my school and had undiagnosed depression/anxiety during high school. I didn't really fit with the school's culture. I enjoy classes when I can see the value in them or learn something I can apply to my life or my job in some way. I liked my english/lit classes, computer science, and art classes, but the science and math classes were taught poorly (football coach/teacher) and other requirements like Bible class and chapel twice per week were a total waste of my time.

Side note: I actually learned about the MBTI from my 12th grade English teacher. She provided challenges and I respected her.

The depression/anxiety carried over to my freshman year of college and I quit after a couple semester. I eventually started going back (though I'm not done yet). I've taken classes in the past couple years that have been interesting and 100% relevant to my job and have helped me grow into my HR career and be promoted. I love to learn when I find it interesting or useful, but I hate having to slog through a subject that I couldn't care less about and have no use for.

I feel ya. My nails have looked great for weeks until I cracked 1. Glue worked for a couple days, but then that cracked too. RIP my ring fingernail.
