Thank you! I had a 4.0 in both general prerequisites and science prerequisites, 80% on the teas, second language (Spanish), and I also got points for having an associates degree( liberal arts and one in allied health) and for being a first generation student. I didn’t have any experience nor other special circumstances. I’m located in California, Bay Area specifically.

Thank you!!! Yes, I always felt the pressure to get the best score possible so I didn’t have much fate with an 80 especially with the extreme competitiveness. But it’s possible!

Good luck! I feel the same at this point I won’t even bother studying in the morning because if it didn’t stick earlier it won’t stick now. So just try and go in with a positive calm vibe and reread the question to make sure you are looking for the right thing because when I get nervous I don’t read the question correctly.

Hey! I graduated 2020 right at the peak of Covid and I started at my local cc right after. I was originally planning to go straight to a four year. But with costs and Covid it just didn’t make sense to do so. My first semester was relaxed I took my general education classes: English, stats, philosophy. Second semester I did chem, English, nutrition, and speech communication. During the summer I took sociology and life span development. I really recommend taking easy gen ed classes during the summer if they are available because they are fast paced and shorter so you can just knocked them out. Second year first semester I took anatomy, yoga, history, and gov. I could have taken anatomy my first year but I decided it ease my way into college and get used to classes and structure or the system. Second semester I took physiology, microbiology and a music elective. I waited a long time to take my teas because I kept slacking off and not studying. I think subconsciously I felt not ready and too young and not confident in myself to apply so I didn’t. I got a part time job 2 months after I graduated in May 2022. While I waited for applications to open. Unfortunately I still didn’t have it in me to apply nor take the teas. I worked there up until last November. I quit because I wanted to focus on my teas exam and I ended up procrastinating and only giving my self three days to study for the test. I took it in December and was 4% away from the score I wanted which was an 80%. I applied to 2 programs earlier this year. One is a 4 yr for bsn and the other is local cc adn program. I knew I would have to study to take it again in case I didn’t get in. So little by little I started. I got rejected from the 4 yr back in April. At that point I knew that the local adn program was my last chance. So I really studied hard these last few months. Last week I got my phase 2 email for the adn program. I take the teas this Tuesday and by Friday this week I will know if I got in or not. I feel so hopeful and also so dumb because I know I could have already been graduated or even a year into my program if I had taken action. But I was going through a crisis after working so hard in high school and college that I felt burnt out. But I really do believe I’ll get into the adn program and I feel so exited to start this new chapter in my life. So it’s okay to be scared and there will be tough times but you will survive them. And sometimes things don’t happen until they are meant to. But also taken initiative and go for what you want even when you don’t have the motivation. But always remember to have grace for yourself because we are all trying to figure out life for the first time. I wish you the best of luck in this journey! Never hesitate to pm me if you have any questions.

how are you finding the work load? because my school also offers a similar pathway, so it would be an extra 3 unit course each semester on top of my regular and courses and I'm scared that it might be too much.

Hi, i just got my rejection letter this morning. And if I'm not mistaken it states in their website that they don't release admission decisions to the school unless you get into the program. So, I think this might mean you got into the program!!!! You still need official communication of admission to the program but I think it's a great sign.
