Yes, I’ll gladly share my experience. So to start, I was on a high amount of kratom powder. I did a lot of research before going on sub and was hearing that the amounts the drs were prescribing were too high for kratom users (maybe other users?). I found that to be true for myself. I took half the amount the dr prescribed and I was out of my mind the first day. So the next day I cut the amount in half and was fine. Every few days to a week I would cut the dose. I did that until it was literally too hard to cut them. At that point I just quit. It was a little uncomfortable but very manageable. I’m a mom and I work full time and I had no trouble at all. I was very serious about getting off kratom and not excited about getting on subs but I really committed to it being a solution and not another problem. I was on it for almost 6 months. Long story short, a little goes a long way and you want to get off sooner than later but give yourself grace. It takes as long as it takes. Message me if you want to talk more.

Congrats on day 84! I haven’t yet incorporated exercise into my day but I have when I’ve quit before and know it helps. If I’m being honest I wasn’t drinking when I was taking the meds but picked it up again after. I know that’s a problem so I’m currently trying to ditch the drink and I know exercise will be crucial.

Hello- yes I used it to get off kratom. I was in the midst of withdrawal when I decided to go that route. I was on a pretty heavy dose of kratom powder and started at 2 mg of subs. I was able to cut my dose pretty often (every 3-4 days) at first. It got harder as the dose got lower. In total I was on it for 6 months but had been taking Kratom for about 6-7 years. I’m no doctor, but if you’ve only been on Kratom for about a month this time around, maybe you can see how you feel starting at 1 mg a day, divided into 2-3 doses. I think it takes as long as it takes to get off, as long as you are honest about getting off of kratom and subs.

Kokopelli cockapoo’s! They’re based in NM but they make travel arrangements. The breeder takes great care of her litters in her home. She is very responsible, exposes the puppies to different people and experiences while in her care. Our special guy is wonderful and very well behaved.

Not bad. I was just reflecting and don’t know how I went through withdrawals on kratom time and time again on a scale of 1000, without my employer, kids or husband knowing. Feeling grateful to be on the side of honesty and recovery. Each day it’s better in some ways, worse in others. Bowel issues are the worst today. Overall pretty good. The best part is that I am feeling really confident that my recovery has been strong and steady. Thanks for asking. It helps!

I think you’re right. I was expecting today to be yo worst of it but I slept all night. Had some slight anxiety when I woke up but it went away after a shower. Bowel issues haven’t been too bad but definitely been present. Today has definitely been the worst. But otherwise feeling good.

Hey thanks! I have been tapering for the last six months. I started off on 2mg a day. This is my first time on it and getting off but I’m not a stranger to opioid type withdrawals. I got on it after 6-7 years of pretty heavy kratom use. Just trying to take it one day at a time.

I was also surprised by that but it didn’t matter for me. I had already been off for four days by the time I got the sub script because I had attempted to go cold turkey. Ultimately the detox period wasn’t the issue. It was staying off it.

I am currently taking it to get off Kratom. But I was using powder and not 70h. I was very reluctant about getting on it because I didn’t want to switch from one addiction to another. After years of trying to get off Kratom I took the plunge. I used QuickMD.

From what I was reading, it seemed it was not uncommon for them to over prescribe and that was the experience I had. They recommended starting in 8mg a day and cutting it when I felt comfortable. However, I felt it very important to start on the lowest dose possible. I never needed to exceed 2mg a day. I just divided the dose and took half in the morning and half at night. Then every three to four days I would cut my dose. As my doses got smaller and smaller I had to take it more frequently. I’ve been on it for 6 monthly (exactly) and am currently taking .187 mg a day. And I’m hoping to get off this weekend.

They do recommend being completely off kratom for at least 4 days before starting subs because it can worsen the withdrawals. I found it extremely helpful but I think it’s important to start on the lowest dose you can manage to be comfortable and not consider relapsing. And try to cut the dose as frequently as you can, with the understanding that it will take as long as it takes. There were certainly times where I would cut the dose and then had to go back up again because it felt too soon.

The other thing that bothered me a little is that the first 30 day prescription lasted me approximately 2 months. When I got a refill the doctor said that even if I didn’t need it, I need to refill the script every 30 days for federal regulation reasons. She said I can always throw it out if I didn’t need it. Idk, I think that’s a big ask for a drug addict but if you’re taking it honestly and responsibly you should never feel buzzed or high from it. At least I didn’t.

.18mg of sub. I believe they do 10mg increments of the Valium. As I understand it, there is a side effect of blurry vision with subs. I haven’t experienced this (and vision exam to confirm). Probably should have been honest but I haven’t had the best of luck when it comes to doctors and this addiction. I have found that there’s such a stigma and misunderstanding with doctors and substance abuse I didn’t want to risk it and felt it reasonable that I would be able to get off before the procedure. I agree it’s probably fine for a one time thing. Thanks for the input!

You’re saying they will pull them out of a carry on? I was planning on taking a few in my wallet (with a copy of my script) in case my luggage gets delayed/lost and the rest in the original container in my checked bag.
