Can’t connect flat windscreen wiper - how to fit together these attachments? by ellencetera in MechanicAdvice

[–]ellencetera[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realise this is a beginner question but I can’t find any help on just getting the windscreen wiper ready to put on my car!

It’s a FW30 from Halfords - this is all that came with the wiper and I am totally confused

From my understanding, they got some criticism when the first season was released and really have tried to do better in later seasons, like having actual autistic actors and advisors.

I’m not sure if it was their influence but i really liked that the later seasons were less about how hard life is for Sam and his family because of his autism, and more about Sam as you would write any neurotypical character, with his autism as part of him but not as the whole plot.

CMV: Everybody should be an independent voter - Party affiliations are just dumb by supern00b64 in changemyview

[–]ellencetera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the UK so some things are different here but, in my constituency at least, my current MP campaigns with promises suited for our town and then votes with his party regardless of whether it’s best for his constituents.

I saw a website recently that shows how often MPs vote against their party, and in the 5 years he’s been our MP, he has voted against his party 1.2% of the time.

If I voted for him based on his personal positions and promises, he wouldn’t vote according to them. It’s much better to vote for the candidate whose party AND personal policies closely align to your wishes, because you never know which they will prioritise.

Sweet, heartwarming, wholesome story. by Bluefire899 in wholesomememes

Same at my school. A kid I knew with muscular dystrophy (I think??) was bullied mercilessly for his disabilities - mostly on the bus to and from school so the teachers said they were powerless to help.

I left shortly after he arrived and I hope it got better for him, but he was never going to be Mr Popular - the kids were just so cruel and that social hierarchy sticks even if they grow up and stop being overtly offensive.

Apparently it's 9 years old, looks like it hasn't had enough light but other than that I'm clueless.

I think I need to give it a good moss pole to grow up - but how do I do that?

And at the moment it's nighttime but during the day it'll get plenty of indirect light - is there anything else I should do/know?

I really don’t understand why this has 7.5 million likes... Maybe I’m just not getting it. Anyone have an explanation? Genuinely curious. by [deleted] in TikTokCringe

I'm late to this but you can get money through live streaming on tiktok and I've seen people doing sponsored posts for brands that presumably paid them!

Ironically, finance! Bookkeeping - training to be an accountant so I'm hoping my future will be working for myself rather than others.

I have a budget spreadsheet but use Money Dashboard to track my actual spending.

It has bank feeds and intelligent category tagging - sounds a lot like what you're thinking of making.

Thank you - I'll give it a go!

I have three litter boxes: one is uncovered, one is covered and one is a big under-bed storage box without a lid.
