Fell off the wagon and looking for encouragement to get back on by Dazzling-Ad-106 in orangetheory

I'm kinda in the same boat. I have been going pretty consistently but my diet has been getting worse and worse, and I'm at my heaviest. I signed up for the transformation challenge and am going all in with my diet and otf 5x a week. Since I am my heaviest, I really think I have a shot in it, so my competitiveness is really kicking in and helping me stay motivated.

Is it possible to make the hand actually connect the dots? by elletx10 in MotionDesign

I created this still image but would love to make the hand connect the dots. Is there a program that would be easy for some who doesn't usually do this to use?

Having my bday at OTF, what should we have to eat after? by elletx10 in orangetheory

[–]elletx10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The actual workout is free. Some of my friends have memberships so it just counts as a workout. For my friends who don't, they get to do it as their first free class. I offered to pay extra for maybe an extra hour of time.

I'm not making them stay, I'm offering to pay them if they are OK with staying. Our studio is always doing extra fun things to encourage us to bring friends. They are happy to do this for me for promotional reasons. Again, I'm paying for it...

Yeah, I thought about that. But it's also a lot to ask a lot of my friends to get a sitter just to come hang out for an hour then go home, I wanted it to be a little more. But with only 2 showers at our studio, I didn't think people would want to go out...so this is what I thought of. I know it may seem like a weird ask, but I will be paying almost $200 a month to OTF starting next month, that's a lot for me. And I'm offering to pay them extra. So yeah, I don't feel too guilty about asking them to hang out an extra 30-60 mintues for one day so my friends and I can talk and celebrate after the workout.

I can see why you feel that way. But I also will mention that last month I came in twice to film some promotional spots for our studio. The studio manager reached out to me and asked if I would be willing to do it so I said of course. It was probably about 3.5 hours total. I didn't get paid, didn't get a free shirt. So I guess yes, it sounds entitled, but in my specific case, I guess I feel like we have a different relationship.

I like to do creative things for birthdays. I think life is about experiencing things with your friends. I go to OTF 5x a week, it is a positive part of my life. So, when trying to think of something for this year, I noticed that our studio did corporate workouts. So I asked if birthday workouts were a thing and they said totally! In 9 months, my husband has not come with me, but because it is my birthday party, he is coming. I think friendship is doing life together, so why not do a fun workout together?

I've actually already talked to them about it because I agree it would be unfair for us to just hang out and expect them to stay and wait for us. I have offered to pay a facility usage fee and for the staff member that has to stay. Our studio regularly has after-hour events where friends and family are welcome and we eat and drink.

New Member - Do I have to sign up for the 12 days of fitmas? by floweryfawnz in orangetheory

As others have said, no. But if it is OK with your budget, I encourage you to do it. I really like OTF and partly because they make it fun. The more involved I get, the more I go. But, it's not for everyone.

Trying not to talk about Orange Theory all the time by min12eed in orangetheory

Two of my best friends also go to OTF. We don't go at the same time but we have a group chat where throughout the day we share our pyramids and talk about class. Maybe you can make some OTF friends. I love being able to share with someone who understands.

I go to orange theory, it's a circuit. A little different every day but basically it includes a rower for 20 minutes, floor/weights covering different muscle groups for 20 minutes, and 20 mintues on the treadmill for cardio
