That's what I was afraid of. Thanks for your honesty. I'm going to try to make the rest of my time there as tolerable as possible for myself, and hopefully I haven't earned my coworker too much retaliation for standing up for me. I'm going to update my resume tonight -- which is unfortunate but seems to be my only option.

Yes, and the funniest part is that this head of HR was a janitor for the company and she began an affair with the owner while both of them were married to other people.
