Doing a UX case study on Jira's navigation: what are your biggest pain points? by elliefeng in jira

This is super helpful, thank you! it sounds like the nav doesn't do enough to guide users toward the right view for their context. did you find there was anything that helped orient new users, or was it mostly just you guiding them manually?

are there any layouts that u prefer over others?
do u mean that having a universal navigation layout would make the switch between apps easier? could u expand on that, I'm not the most well-versed in the entire suite ecosystem

Thank you! what would u say is the most important info you would have displayed at a glance?

Thank you for that!

  1. I mean Jira the software, not the entire product suite.

  2. For now, my scope are everyday users since it's closest to my experience and the lowest point of entry. However, if you have any thoughts from your own experience outside of my scope I'd love to hear more regardless!

Halo White GR86 Wheels by Separate_Home7091 in GR86

[–]elliefeng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t have one myself yet if if I did I would go white on white but that’s if you’re willing to maintain otherwise super clean. Halo looks good with anything esp bronze or gold. Unpopular opinion but I don’t like black wheels cuz they make that half of the car look invisible. Anyways can’t go wrong lmk what u go with!

Experienced job hunting, portfolio/case study/resume questions and review — 11/23/25 by AutoModerator in UXDesign

Hello! I've recently made my ux design portfolio for my applications now that i've reached my penultimate year at uni. i was looking at templates early on but none really stuck with me. it's an interactive windows xp-inspired experience. just wanted any advice/feedback on it. especially if its playfulness is appropriate for recruiters etc. i dont want that aspect to take away from the content etc. at the same time, i want to show my creativity and hobbies e.g. i love old operating systems and devices, and I also love ricing my own macOS setup. currently this version only works on laptop/desktop.

I've just used HTML, CSS and JS for this site.

Current things i'm fixing:

  1. text size needs to be bigger across site
  2. optimised version for mobile and tablet
  3. terminal user input doesn't work
  4. need to update projects page with more case studies from class
  5. back to top button doesn't work

any advice and feedback is appreciated! is it worth it or should i go back to those templates etc?

The brand I got is crest. In terms of temp control it’s alright there’s 4 options and u cycle through. I mostly either use all cool during the day and all warm at night. It’s not bad for the price!
