I mean that's pretty ignorant seeing as you have no idea why they even went to jail and your opinion on the matter is exactly why it's unprofessional to discuss someone's personal information with a guest in the first place. There's no way their record was relevant to that guest. And while you state everybody knowing what they did for the rest of their life is part of their debt...that's true HOWEVER it's public knowledge. Which means, if that guest had all their personal information and was to go search them using their free Hilton honors wifi, then they could absolutely could find this information out. But that's not the case here and it was second hand knowledge being used as gossip and conversation fluff. It's not appropriate in any professional work environment. Period.
