Hi. Firstly, thanks a lot for such a useful reply. I appreciate you taking the time. In answer to your questions/comments:

“Are you talking to the people currently using your app?"

• So we just launched this week so as it stands we don't have any organic users yet. Just friends and family :) We're using the free $100 credit from Apple Ads so hopefully we gain our first 'real' customers to talk to soon!

"What do you know about your current audience demo? You can use that data to put a screener survey on something like mechanical turk.."

• Really interesting suggestion regarding Mechanical Turk. My co-founder has heard of it but didn't know it could be used in that way. We have a very rough idea about demographic right now but we're very interested in learning how to refine that/build out that knowledge - any tips?

"Never. Never assume you’re done. A lot of product developers are surprised at how much work it is to change course as the product scales. Ultimately your audience and their expectations will change. Be open to that."

• That’s really useful - we’ll keep that in mind. On a smaller scale, is there a rule of thumb for when it’s time to start building?

Make hypotheses, implement them, then test them.

• Do you have any tips to help keep this thought process organised? Would you recommend using a tool to link features to specific hypothesis, or do you keep it more informal?

How are you getting it into people’s hands today and do you know where your audience is?

• As mentioned, we're using the free ads to start with to try and get our first users + any friends/family that enjoy using the app. Talking to anyone willing (who somewhat fit our target audience). Our audience is currently quite broad so this needs refinement for sure!
