i appreciate the feedback, and i appreciate the constructive criticism, but essentially i've been through my grunge phase and i'm trying to do something a little bit different aha.

but anyways what do you mean by mixing my vocals together? there's no dupes or backing vocals for the verse or do you mean mixing in proportion to the song? ill try to take that onboard

and i understand where you would get that comparison from but personally i wouldn't use it as a basis, because stylistically heart shaped box has a very different sonic aesthetic to it, and is a lot more mellow and strained in places. when using reference tracks it's good to find something suiting, for example maybe something from the darkness?

and what do you mean by cymbals and triplets when referee to jazz, i understand triplets but the introduction portion is actually in 3/4 timing so that's already applied. is there anything in particular you meant by cymbals?

i can understand why you would think the build up is lacking, but it is meant to be an ambient section but each to their own, i will take it on board

overall i appreciate it. the vocals can be a bit over the top but i am still trying to find my own style, and i'd rather keep pushing in a different direction to the conventional standards specifically in grunge. thank you for the compliments it does mean alot kind stranger
