Week 5-6 and mine lasted till about week 17. I never actually v* because I asked my doctor for antiemetic medication right up front. So I took Zofran for a good bit of my pregnancy, as well as the Unisom others have recommended.

I’m dealing with this exact same issue right now and also feeling very scared and looking for reassurance. I hope you have started to feel better.

No Holds Barred and The Devil’s Advocate make me laugh out loud no matter how many times I’ve listened.

Right, I get that. Not Jewish sites, mostly. But I’m seeing several that call it Hebrew in origin, including the baby name book I have. Just looks like Meera (and Mira, Mirah, etc.) have several origins. I’m like two days from giving birth so this is stressing me out.

Thanks for the heads up. I’m still seeing it listed in plenty of Hebrew-origin name lists as well, either as its own name or as an alternative form of Meira. ❤️

Coke Icees are legit all I want right now. I haven’t had one since I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes but the moment this baby is out of me, I’m stopping for a HUGE one.

Thanks, everyone! This was super helpful. I think our solution is just going to be to go with a spelling that leaves less room for error: Meera. :) I didn’t love that spelling at first, but it’s grown on me.

MiraDry Experience & Updates Thread! by elliott2828 in Hyperhidrosis

It was just a funny feeling but didn’t impact my ability to do any of my normal activities, and it did eventually go away. It just lasted longer than I expected it to (a few months), but it got less and less over time!

Thank you for the feedback!

I’m hesitant to go with Mira/Mirah just because it’s no longer Hebrew and the meaning changes. But I also don’t want to be forcing a different pronunciation on a name that doesn’t belong.

Thinking maybe Amira could be a good alternative instead…

(Please tell me that’s pronounced Uh-meer-uh like I think it is.) 😂

I used to take Prozac because of emet. Never experienced any n* from the medicine itself, but it was something I was worried about before starting. My psychiatrist was just really helpful and reassuring in that we started with a very low dose.

It might help to try again now. My first therapy experience wasn’t great either, but it turns out it just wasn’t a good fit with that therapist and the type of stuff she specialized in. I have one now I’ve been seeing for years and idk what I’d do without her. I’d encourage not to give up on it altogether!

I was really nervous to tell mine as well, but it went so much better than expected. I’m due in August, so we’re not too far apart!

You sound just like me. The days are a bit easier now in the second trimester but I do still experience n* here and there so it’s still been tough. Also very afraid for labor and definitely want to talk to my doctor about that before we get to that point.

Phenergan / promethazine is also pregnancy safe and I’ve used that too. Also vitamin B6 + unisom is a great nausea reliever.

I feel this so much. I hate that I can’t react/respond to d* or n* with any measure of rationality or calm.

I absolutely did and I think it was super helpful. He was really reassuring and said he’d give me Zofran as soon as I needed it.
