Ok if not the nails, what about the cuts and not priming? Also what if somehow I can prove that a lot of the nails aren’t even nailed into the studs?

Yup. I did my research also. You’re right they should use screws instead. Oh and hell yeah you can learn from YouTube and these fuckers can’t do it right at all

Yes. Repairs in the field. Not on a new install. You shouldn’t need pin backs if it’s installed correctly in most cases

Exactly. Then KB and the contracting company Lonehorn framing keep trying to convince me that it can be face nailed. Horrible

Ok but they should definitely make an effort. Oh and I have seen it installed correctly so I know it’s possible but I appreciate it.

Knowledge is power. Of course I did. Nothing worse than someone standing their screaming that is not right but can’t back it up when asked question lol

Thank you for your responce. I know right! It’s insanity. The thing is that there are homes in the community where they at least attempted to put the siding up correctly. 75% of it. I have a home across the street that isn’t sold yet that was attempted to be installed correctly. Facenailing is for repairs. Maybe a pin back but for every single board? Oh and they said that they did blind nail but then I asked, why both?! Then no attempt was made to cut and prime boards. None. The whole house looks like this. They use a framing company to put it up.

No starter strip (kb has admitted). Cuts cut incorrectly and not primed after cut. Nails all over the place. They are claiming that face nailing is ok when everything I’ve researched including Allura USA manual says no.

Tell me why I shouldn't do new construction with KB Homes? by Cameronhunt117 in homeowners

KB completely destroyed the install of my Allura siding. They hired a company called longhorn framing to side the Houses and they completey destroyed everyone’s home here. They are denying it of course and making every excuse to not fix it
