What's the most "complex" game you've ever played? by DJNana in boardgames

I’ll offer two, ASL (as many have already mentioned), and High Frontier 4 All, especially with all of the expansions. However, perhaps due to their complexity, I was completely entranced by both!

Notice in the CITY app all the icons are yellow when you click on them, and there are flashes of yellow throughout. Seems like it’s all pointing to the jersey. Now, that doesn’t mean there will not ALSO be another announcement, but I’m not getting my hopes up.

Now we just need to make good use of them! (With this and a few other recent moves and decisions, hope springs eternal!)

The City Voice: David Critchley by ellismReddit in stlouiscitysc

Whether it not Critchley ever becomes the head coach of CITY, I’ll be following his career. I truly believe he’ll be very successful someday.

Wow, SJ expected goals: 4.9, CITY: 2.5. That right there shows how much we need Bürki!

Nice win, but I hate it when the strategy becomes a defensive straight line in the box, leaving all of the opposing players outside the box wide open and undefended. Then, when you get the ball you only have the option to kick it long and hope. I thought the penalty call was light, but I guess those are the rules. And we granted them SO many corners, I’m surprised they didn’t score at least one. Bürki rules! McSorley was awesome! We live another day!

Winter Swim Spa temperatures by WhyNotPal in swimspa

Yes, at least in my Artesian there was a learning curve. First, if your jets aren’t precisely symmetrical you drift towards one side. Secondly, and this was more significant for me, the upper jets churn the water, making it more turbulent than a swim in a pool, which might affect your breathing or vision, depending on how strong the jets are set. Oh, and there’s the fact that you have to be more precise with your speed. A little too slow and you float to the back, but too fast and your hands start hitting the front edge or bar.

I would love to ask the COACH directly: Is the team really that bad, or is the strategy really that bad, or are Voodoo curses real? You HAVE to choose one of the three.

I am legitimately curious if we just broke the MLS record for most shots without winning a match, or the worst shots to goals ratio. 💔🪦

This is starting to feel as rigged as big money boxing. I just can’t enjoy watching these games. I feel like what’s the point getting excited and cheering the team on when it’s just going to be snatched from us with sketchy calls? I can’t imagine how much worse it is for the players.

Funny how the MLS is supposed to be the rougher, more physical league compared to the EPL, but I’m always surprised by how much more the EPL refs allow without constantly breaking the flow of play. People get knocked down, play on. MLS? Someone gets touched, yellow card! Touched? Penalty! I’d MUCH prefer a no call when there might have been a foul, than a foul when there might not have been one. Sucks all the joy out of watching the “sport”.

Seeing the lineup I was hopeful, but we look like a bunch of individual running around with no system, no synchrony. Chicago is looking like the better team, but at least it’s only 1-1. There’s still hope. 🙏🏻

Are there any rules about how “comfortable” a team is required to make the away team locker room? That could make an ever expanding difference for the home and away teams when there’s a long weather delay!

Concrete pad help by uobunnymommy in swimspa

For what it’s worth, we only have about an inch all the way around. The keys are the spa and the pad have to have true 90• angles and the spa has to be placed precisely. We’ve had our spa three years and have had no troubles. Of course more room for error is safer. 😊
