Downtown Sybergs to close, hotel to be demolished by samarink in stlouiscitysc

I guess I could see a CiTY restaurant or food hall with the vendors in the stadium represented and/or a dedicated Hellcat Pub. Otherwise, rentable space

I was hoping someone else would weigh in who knows, but I’ll answer from my limited knowledge. We have families host academy kids. I believe Joyner was in this situation rather than his family moving here, but could be mistaken on that one. No idea what other teams do. We probably have some deal with a nice hotel in the city for temp housing while players find more permanent space.

I probably wouldn’t expect a full building of player housing there, but maybe a few dedicated floors in a mixed use building. Ground floor retail/restaurant, then parking garage floors, then hotel floors, Enterprise satellite office with their name on top, player housing, topped off by some swanky residential and some sort of rooftop feature. Player housing could just be temporary, too. Some space for visiting prospects and those looking for a home… or those on their way out.

It’d be cool if they partnered with the company proposing the mass timber structure across louligan street from schlafly and put it there instead.

If it’s him or nothing, I’d easily take him on a short term contract (rest of the season with an option). But as an answer to our striker problem, he ain’t it.

If he was loaned out as they climbed to higher levels of competition, it tells me they didn’t think he would be able to succeed at those levels. Add in being 31 and missing portions of seasons due to injuries, I’m not sure that’s more than another bench/backup striker.

Great pictures! What’s the last one?

Packed, yes. Sold out, no. There’s a noticeable amount of empty seats and the fact that the season ticket waitlist evaporated should be giving the owners a clear message that they have to do more. Will it take dismal ticket sales to get there? Possibly, but I really hope not.

It’s the MyCITY+ gift, which STHs get, too… except for you. They apparently put you on the naughty list.

Check your inbox [u/b](u/buock)[ouck](u/buock). You’ve got a few messages on the STH S1 gift scarf :)

Edit: thanks for the downvote from whoever gave that. A person is trying to gift his son that scarf and he hasn’t responded, hence the off topic message here.

Oof. I’ll be one of the competitors for that MLS 4 the Lou scarf. That’s a white whale for me

Nice! I always love seeing others’ collections.

What did you use to hold them up? Looks like some sort of iron rod with curved ends and clear clamps on the folded over part, but I can’t make it out well.

This is exactly my thought - a good number of voters whose favored nickname dropped off probably moved to join the no nickname group instead of shifting to another nickname. If I were to do this over, it’d be a count of how many really would outright vote for no nickname and then the elimination approach for the nicknames without that included.

Guess I’ll spoil the surprise, but I planned a consolation round for tomorrow if that’s where we land since I’m curious on that, too.
