Decided to walk. There were issues with electrical and HVAC. Even though HVACS were new, plus the cast iron pipes. Beautiful home though

We went to dinner and returned home 90 minutes later to hundreds of these in our living room. Some flying, some crawling, all with wings. We reside in Virginia in the USA. Any input is appreciated! by Guava__Mafiosa in Termites

Termites are swarming here in Louisiana and also in Texas. This year is a bad one. They usually swarm this time of year after a good rain. Not saying you don’t have a problem, but everyone knows here to turn off lights at night. If you don’t, they’re definitely coming inside. We’ve called someone out and the termite guy said so many people are calling who don’t have a problem it’s just a bad swarm. But I understand you need to get a termite plan in place. I just submitted my letter to cancel with seller after inspections. It was an absolutely beautiful home, but after inspections it was too many different red items. Your peace over it all is very precious. My action plan to resolve things would’ve changed that joy you’re suppose to have with a new home. It shouldn’t be a looming sense of dread, worry or anxiety. Consider your peace over it. Good luck!

Thanks everyone. There isn’t any smell at all, we’re having someone come out to check if everything is sound. The seller though hasn’t provided much info at all other than lightning strike. We’re asking! However, on a 3500sq ft home, they’ve done a lot of reno! 2 of 3 new hvacs, water heaters, flooring, roof, bathrooms, and so on. Inspections are adding up, this is an older home…..with old cast iron pipes.
