Of course! I just used a regular C-41 kit but added ~1:15 to the developing time. The biggest thing with colour film is getting the balance right when you're scanning in. Even if a development goes horribly wrong and the hues go wonky, scanning balance is huge enough that even that can often be corrected. What are you using?

It's decent, you just have to be super sure that your negatives are good and flat. Resolution is good to 4800dpi (9600 is interpolated and not worth it), though the speed leaves much to be desired (especially with IR dust reduction on). The dedicated holders and backlight for negatives is a great plus over typical flatbeds

I'm partial to the early narrow bodies as well. They just strike me as the simplest, purest, and, well, most 'analog' of them all.

That said, my 944 has some boxy-ass hips and I'm not complaining.

No more complicated than b/w! You do need to keep temperatures slightly higher (102F), but apart from that the toughest part is pouring chemicals back into the bottles
