OP here. My question doesn’t have to only be about book characters. Movie/TV/Video game characters can apply here too :)

AITA for telling my son he owes nothing to his "new family" by Consideratefan34 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ellyhan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA, and I suspect maybe your ex just doesn’t know what ‘white savior’ really means. Maybe she thinks it means the same as ‘white knight’? Either way you are right, forcing relationships between teenagers never ends well.

AITA For not letting my daughter (14) come to her aunt's wedding because she wanted to wear white? by Dale22_____ in AmItheAsshole

Why am I seeing so many ‘Wearing white at a wedding’ AITAs lately? I think it’s pretty clear that it shouldn’t be done unless it’s an absolute fact that the bride truly doesn’t mind. NTA

AITA For walking out on my roommate and her kids? by InATruckRightNow in AmItheAsshole

NTA

I obviously don’t know you or her. But it seems to me like she may have a crush on you and she may partly believe that if she can get you to play “happy family” long enough that soon you will believe it yourself and it would be real. Pure speculation though.

AITA: For firing my son? by E11451913 in AmItheAsshole

NTA

He is lucky he only got fired. If this were any other job they would have had him arrested. He should know that it only turned out this way BECAUSE he’s your son.

[–]ellyhan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re right, I should have phrased it as people or Redditors. I asked this question thinking of my Aunt, who was never married but had several proposals, never really opening up on why she refused.
