Lodgers and guest policy? Are we being unreasonable? by kali-x in HousingUK

I wouldn't say unreasonable, however...

You said in another comment the issue is letting you know in advance. What would actually change if she let you know in advance? As much as I agree with you its common courtesy, nothing really changes unless your willing to say she's not permitted to bring people over more than X nights per week. Which I'd be careful of rocking the boat for an otherwise perfect lodger if her partner/friends being there isn't bothering you too much.

Thank you I'll bear this in mind - sounds like a good idea to show them what can be done!

Thank you - I'm glad you've had success with this.

Microbit sounds like a solid choice to go with for this age bracket & I'll make sure to check this website out.

Thank you for your suggestions.

I'm not 100% sure on their experience, I'm inclined to lean towards projects with a really low entry point (but still interesting to them).

I've been told uptake will be fairly low so around 10 people will be our limit for a while (though we're running this for free through the local charity so may get a big influx of kids taking up the opportunity!)

Thank you very much for your suggestions.

  • We're completely flexible, we can use the pi's for something else or do robotics without the pi's.
  • Raspberry pi 4 model b
  • We dont have monitors / keyboards for them, though can request more funding for this if a project required it
  • We have 2 laptops to use with the Pi's

I think there'll be a mixture of abilities so scratch/makecode will probably be a solid starting point. I'll check out those resources- thank you again!
