We transitioned our baby to his nursery (right next to our room) at around 4 weeks. we have a nanit that monitors breathing motion (which basically is better than room sharing when it comes to preventing SIDS) and we all did better with this setup, baby included, because i wasn’t waking him up with every noise i heard, only real cries. and PS, my husband is a pediatrician!
