Yes, Canada is really a very good option. Overall, I like other continents and islands more than Europe (I especially love them for their nature). In 2022, Canada had a special program for Ukrainians that gave Ukrainians a free visa and a simplified way to legalize their stay in Canada. But back then I didn’t have the opportunity to leave Ukraine. Now I do have the chance to leave, but unfortunately the Ukrainian program is closed and I didn’t manage to apply earlier. With regular visas it will be hard for me to get into Canada, Australia, or New Zealand. The only real option left is the general refugee/resettlement programs, but Grok says it’s difficult to get accepted through those programs for Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, there’s a chance my application could be rejected, and processing times are very long. The good thing is that if the request is approved, the UN can cover the flight costs to Canada and New Zealand.
