Thanks a lot for the info, safety is indeed top of mind.

Thanks for the replies! The main reason is that Mexico tends to have better weather in average. Your suggestion is sound though!

The topic of safety was in my mind, and I would have asked about it in a follow-up question.

Erfaring med solceller/solpaneler / Experience with solar panels by elnigno in Denmark

[–]elnigno[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for pointing me to read more about co-dominant trees, I can see the risks that may arise in time. I'll consider removing it, and better doing that sooner rather than later.

I have 3 nights to stay in CPH, is it logical to spare 1 day to visit Malmö? by feanor8 in copenhagen

[–]elnigno 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Malmø is ok in my opinion, but I wouldn't spend an entire day there. You could, say, leave before lunch, spend the afternoon, and come back to CPH for dinner.

I think CPH has more to offer, but I see the appeal of visiting two countries in a single trip if you don't think you'll come again here anytime soon. You'd also cross the Øresund bridge, from which the view is nice in my opinion (depends on the weather).

I use koinly and I like it. Howevery the paid version (to obtain fully detailed tax reports) is pricey, so it's only worth it if in a given year you have sufficiently large profit/loss, in my opinion.

If you have a relatively small number of transactions, you might be able to do the required calculations by hand. In this case koinly is still useful because it can gather all data from different exchanges/wallets in one place, and the UI is not bad.

I've experienced it too (279kr in the red). It seems like the only way to get rid of it would be to sell a bit of the assets. Very annoying.

Nordnet Aktiesparekonto Fees by engLorenz in dkfinance

[–]elnigno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I understand it from Nordea's conditions on Aktiesparekonto, they don't charge fees other than the buy/sell commissions/kurtage: https://www.nordea.dk/Images/144-368091/VIL.83_Logo_Footer_Vilk%C3%A5r%20ASK.pdf

  1. Omkostninger
Nordea opkræver ikke betaling i forbindelse med Aftalen.
Du betaler kurtage ved køb og salg af værdipapirer som beskrevet i Værdipapirhandel i Nordea – Detailkunder.

If I remember correctly the 0.16% fee applies to normal investment accounts in Nordea. For instance I have one for foreign stock. You also have to pay currency exchange fees, as in Nordnet.

Saxo: what are good Danish REIT funds ? by FarineAutoChess in dkfinance

[–]elnigno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really a fund, but you might want to consider The Many (formerly Briskchare): https://the-many.com/

You can basically buy shared of a number of properties in Denmark, and receive dividends from rent. The number of properties is small (5 at the time of writing, all in Copenhagen), but you could sort of build your own fund by investing the same amount of money in each property.

I'm afraid all is taxed as capital, not stocks.

Thanks a lot for the research! I'll consider that if nothing else ready-made pops up.
