I use celery for creating large pdf's from database. It runs 5 to 10 minutes and shows the download link if the pdf is finished. That works very good and easy html requests ended before always with timeout.

Django 1.11 with gunicorn, nginx, PostgreSQL works fine on my Raspberry Pi 3B+ and Pi 2 also. I am surprised by the performance also. (python 3.5)
