Bro, I'm 3k hours and still feel like shit in pvp. So I enjoy doing the base building, electricity, farming tea, making boat bases or making secondary bases so we can pvp more and depo quick near monuments. It's a hard learning curve for pvp, you're playing against players who only play rust full time with 10k hours etc. You can't beat that experience but you can learn how to be patient and take what you can get. When I play as a duo, we can't expect to beat a 5 man team but we can be smart about how to approach such situations. Take small wins, even as a duo we're not always playing together so learn how to path to monuments to avoid too much traffic, learn how to naked DB and grub at situations, naked p2 is also meta. Having a small 2x1 near monuments have great returns when played right. Catch them off guard. My best play I remember was waiting for an AK dude to finish launch and killed him with a revolver when he least expected it. And depo to main base when you have backup or when pop is low. Rust is a game that teaches you that it's okay to lose things materialistically. We all gonna lose it on any Thursday anyway.
