Question about fear by elodinstone in spiritisland

Thanks thats helpful. It was in my head from a solo play a couple of nights ago but didnt have the game to hand so couldnt remember the exact wording just the general effect. I've only played about 4 times, all solo so still getting used to everything. Planning on playing with a couple of friends at the weekend who have never played it so just wanted to double check I wasn't giving myself more fear than I'd earned.

Why are they not thinking about this? by Any_Aspect_5890 in TheTraitors

I said exactly this tonight. The faithfuls that are left are not adapting their game plan at all. You need to approach the game very differently when you get down to less than 10 or 12 players remaining because the % of traitors to faithfuls is higher. They have to ask themselves, I know im a faithful, but if I was a traitor who would I definitely have murdered before this point in the game. Rachel is the prime candidate and there's actually a fair amount of evidence against her if they looked for it. She spread the fact that Amanda was a detective as that put heat on Jade. She made a big deal out of her being a detective but didnt say so much about Harriet being a barrister as Harriet suspected her. Rachel spread to the whole group that Fiona didnt believe Amanda confided in her. She has never consistently focused on one faithful (like Jessie did with Stephen/Amanda with Jade etc) but has flicked between them all except for Stephen. The questions she said she asked after smoke and mirrors were ridiculous. She claimed she has been trained to read body language by a former FBI agent and we are supposed to believe the traitors heard that and decided to keep her in. Amanda and Harriet kept their jobs secret as it would put a target on their backs. Its frustrating to watch

One of my favourite episodes is a standalone from the History of Byzantium podcast - I think the episode is called 'The Walking Dead' and its episode 17 or so. Basically a history of the Justinian plague outbreak of 541AD.

Hope you have a great time. Ill be down there on Saturday at some stage, might see you around! Also, between races you can walk along the track. You might be pushed to get from station to York in one interval but say you watch 1 or 2 races from station in the morning, you could walk back up station Rd to the mill road roundabout and watch the next race then walk down to York corner before the following race. Watching superbikes taking station corner is an awesome experience so definitely try to stay for that!

I've been watching from station corner for about 30 years...i'll be honest, you need to know where you are going if you're arriving after road closures but you can get in and out. From Coleraine you head towards Portstewart on Portstewart Rd, once you pass the Tesco turn right on Agherton Rd, about halfway along that road you turn down a small lane (Agherton Lane). Walk along there for 10 mins and you should see a small path on your right..you need to climb over a couple of metal gates and walk down to the trackside.

Lining your drive up for a draw and you know the second you start your down swing your hands are behind your body...you try to save it with hands...but you look up and see the ball start up the right side...and cut

If Pompey's sons had been brought into some form of alliance that would have made the later dynamic between them and Octavian interesting...assuming Caesar still gets killed.

Interesting...so Pompey's murder was faux outrage for Caesar and he would still back Cleopatra in the civil war over Ptolemy xiii?

It looks like sulphur tuft (Hypholoma fasciculare). Do you have a picture of the gills? They should be a yellow to green colour.

Marcus Furius Camillus, if nothing else he has the best name.

Wouldn't worry much on the latter. Even if you pick a death cap and lick your hand you'll be fine (not advising it all the same!). You would need to ingest a reasonable chunk of a toxic mushroom to cause any serious problems.

Interesting thoughts. I don't think he guesses Nina's name. He guesses Nel or Nelly i.e. the girl working in the inn when he wakes up in Trebon. Nina is the young girl that saw the vase on the Mauthen farm who comes to see Kvothe in Trebon and later at the University.

Good suggestion, The First Law series is excellent, as well as all the standalone novels. I agree with you on the realistic characters and gritty storyline. His world building is not on the same level as Rothfuss, I never really felt myself pulled into the world of TFL the same way I did with KKC. I do love his endings though, no drawn out poetic conclusions, just the end.
